Delete your Hebbi account

You can delete your Hebbi account, and all the data linked to it, whenever you like. It can't be undone.

In the app

  1. Open Hebbi and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Read the message and tap Delete my account to confirm.

The app shows this message before anything is deleted:

This deletes your account and everything in it, including your progress, your words and your questions. You can't undo this.

Your account is deleted straight away, and you're signed out.

By email

If you can't sign in or no longer have the app, write to support@hebbi.app from the email address your account uses, with the subject “Delete my account”. We'll confirm the request with you and delete the account within one month. If you write from another address, we'll ask you to show that the account is yours.

What is deleted

  • your sign-in account: your email address, your password, and any link to Google or Apple;
  • your name and time zone;
  • your languages, levels and settings;
  • your practice history and the progress of every word you've met;
  • your questions and their answers;
  • your speaking results;
  • your dialogue ratings and your record of daily use.

What is kept

  • Nothing linked to you stays in our database.
  • Backup copies of the database are replaced by newer ones over time, so your data leaves them within a limited time. They're used only to recover from failures.
  • Emails you've sent us stay in our mailbox for as long as we need them to handle your request.
  • Providers who handled recent requests for us may keep them for a short time under their own terms; the privacy policy lists them.

Deleting your account signs you out and removes your practice from your phone or browser. Uninstalling the app, or clearing app.hebbi.app's data in your browser, removes the rest, such as your theme and playback settings. Uninstalling the app on its own does not delete your account.
